JULIA CARR

Julia Carr studied yoga from Sandy Adler as a journalism major at University of Oregon in 2004. Ten years later, Julia found Sandy at Freedom Yoga and dedicated herself to the 200-hr teacher training to overcome a challenging life circumstance. The yoga provided strength, healing and balance which thrust her life into a positive, new direction. Now she aims to teach others this powerful, self-supporting practice.She was initiated into Neelakantha meditation with Paul Mueller Ortega and is also a master level practitioner in Usui Holy Fire Reiki. Julia is a mother, a writer, a yoga teacher, and a communitarian inspired by this heart-centered culture of Eugene. Her classes offer an alchemy of Yogic practices (postures, meditation, breathing techniques) and experienced-based teachings, inspired by her teachers, Michele Bulgatz and Sandy Adler, to strengthen our foundation and rise into our fullest potential.

12:30 - 1:45 PM: Hatha Yoga  (levels I) 
Empowering techniques to explore our limits with inspiration and playfulness. A strength-building, stress-relieving class that can help improve symptoms of back, neck and knee pain, build the core, and melt away tension from the week. This class has a moderate pace with your choice to bolster the challenge or ease into grace!
